Class Chat is a consumer messaging service you use over the internet, including on school WiFi. It is not integrated with any school or district and does not receive, process, or store education records on behalf of a school.

Legal and safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Class Chat.

4. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention period is required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, such as encryption in transit and access controls, designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may review, update, or delete your account information in your settings or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated personal information (some content you posted in shared chatrooms may remain visible to others, or in backups, for a limited time).
